Question: What is the law in Indian constitution for marriage with mother's brother's daughter in Hindu marriage act?
Answer : For your kind Information there is a Separate Personal Law for the matters of Marriage in Hindu Community, and it have nothing to do with Indian Constitution. According to Section 5 of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 ,marriage with mother's brother's daughter is prohibited and will be 'Void because such relation comes within Prohibited Degree of relationship .But if the ‘Custom’ or ‘Usage’ governing each parties of marriage allows the marriage within prohibited relationship then such marriage will be 'valid' and 'binding'.
