
Hindu women in parental property entitled to equal:
In the division of ancestral property, a Hindu woman or girl will get an equal share of male member of the family.Kehr Justice RM Lodha and Jagdish Singh said in a ruling that the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005, equal rights to daughters in parental property is fraternal brothers. The amendment did not have the right to the first daughters.The judge said that section 6 of the Act in the male and female members of joint Hindu family property, 9 September 2005 and since then the right is equal. The law will now have sufficient rights in favor of daughters.
